For my last semester at Roger Williams, I took a senior seminar called "From Album to Zine". This course explored books as enduring objects of inquiry and artistic expression. Through research, discussion, site visits, and hands-on projects, we examined the book’s cultural significance, historical impact, and role in shaping ideas. The course included presentations, discussions, and experiential projects, culminating in creating our own book content.
For our final project, we were instructed to create a zine using techniques from the semester. The topic had to be travel related, or related to a place that holds personal significance. I chose to talk about the Florida Keys, a place my family and I visit every year, and explain the significance.
